Urban Civil Unrest Survival Tips

Civil unrest can be serious and can be considered a survival situation in many cases. I have experienced civil unrest first hand and I can tell you it is not fun. The biggest threat you experience in there is civil unrest is the threat of other people.

So what can you do to be better prepared for civil unrest? First, my best tip I can give you is to stay indoors. During a riot or other dangerous situation, avoid the temptation to go out into the street with the others. Stay in your house. Do not attempt to run outside, get into your car and drive somewhere. Lock the doors and windows and turn off the lights to avoid attracting attention to yourself. Close the curtains. Do not answer the door.

Get survival supplies. Store them in the basement or somewhere that is secure. If you can, try to stay downstairs during a civil unrest situation. That way if you must use some light it will be less noticeable to those outside. Have plenty of survival food and water. Know how to use your urban survival supplies.

Stay calm and do not panic. All of the civil unrest situations I have experienced ended within a couple of days. Those were long days but I was prepared and made it through okay. You can do the same if you achieve urban survival preparedness. Follow the steps explained above.
